The MGB Roadster is a sports car built by MG Cars as a replacement for the MGA. It was launched in 1962 as a two-seater convertible and in 1965 a 2 + 2 hardtop was introduced - the MGB GT. In 1974 both B and B GT were given a rubber bumper to replace the chrome one, so that the car would comply with new American safety regulations. Production ended in 1980. From 1962 to 1974 the B had three different grille styles - chrome slat (1962-'71), honeycomb ('71-'72) and recessed ('72-'74). Airfix currently sell a 1:32 Yellow B and a Brunswick Green B, the latter being in the Haynes range.
